Happy Thursday, DMV! Thursday morning is not off to a bad start. Mostly cloudy skies with a drizzle and patchy fog are seen across portions of the area. Drier conditions will be seen as the sun rises across the area. A mixture of sun and clouds will be the trend as we head through the afternoon as high pressure builds into the area. Highs today will reach into the 70s. By tonight, a few clouds will roll back into the area with overnight lows dipping into the 50s and 60s. Some patchy fog will be possible as we head into the overnight hours into the early morning hours of Friday. A weak cold front will move through the DMV tomorrow afternoon which could spark up a few isolated storms across the area. However, Friday will not be a washout. Highs for Friday are expected to be in the 70s. By tomorrow night we will start to see clearer skies with overnight lows dipping into the 50s to 60s. High pressure will return to the area heading into the weekend, providing us with wall-to-wall sunshine. Winds will be shifting out of the north allowing for drier air to work into the area, this will allow for dewpoints to be in the 50s making it feel comfortable when heading out. Highs on both weekend days are expected to be in the 70s. A secondary cold front looks to arrive at the beginning of next week sparking up spotty showers and storms on Monday.
