Nonstop service from Rochester to Las Vegas begins
Oct 03, 2024
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Starting today — there is non-stop service from Rochester to Las Vegas via Southwest Airlines.
This service was announced last May when Southwest Airlines announced it would begin the service from the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport to Harry Reid International Airport. This is the first time since 2008 that this is being offered.
When News 8 crews got to the Rochester airport, they saw a ton of people ready for this flight — and learned the first four flights had already been sold out!
Beginning October 3, this is operated four times per week — Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. This will add over 5900 seats weekly. Eventually, the service will expand to being operated six days a week.
Nonstop service is also offered from Rochester to Baltimore, Orlando, and Tampa. You can learn more about those non-stop services by clicking here.
