ESCONDIDO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The San Diego Police Department is investigating a shooting involving at least one Escondido police officer on Wednesday that left a suspect in critical condition. Around 7:38 p.m., authorities received a call from a woman about a disturbance at the transit center at 700 West Valley Parkway, the Escondido Police Department confirmed to FOX 5/KUSI. The woman explained to police that someone pulled out a gun before the call got disconnected. When officers arrived on scene, they found the male suspect and chased after him at the 300 block of North Quince Street.
