(KRON) -- Although fall is technically in full swing, it sure does not feel like it for Bay Area residents. The first week of October in the region has recorded temperatures in the 100s, including some records that were broken. Three Bay Area cities set all-time temperature records for the date of Oct. 2. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), on Wednesday, San Jose and San Rafael set daily temperature records of 106 degrees. Napa also set a new temperature record of 103 degrees, which was previously 102 set back in 1980. The San Rafael number ties the record set in 1980. Three months ago to this day, San Jose tied a July 2 daily record of 102 degrees, and San Rafael set a daily record of 103, breaking the previous record of 101 set in 1991, KRON4 reported.
