As an area of high pressure moves east across our region, our winds have become southwesterly. This southwesterly flow of air continues Thursday and high temps will rise all the way to the upper 70s by late in the afternoon. An above average afternoon is in the forecast. Before we get that warm, though, we have to get through the chill of the early morning. Temps will end up as low as the mid-40s by daybreak. On Friday, a weak cold front moves through, but it'll be hard to tell. No significant rain is expected and it is not accompanied by a big change in temps. The one noticeable change is that our southwesterly winds become northeasterly. Friday's highs are in the mid-70s. Over the weekend, you can expect a lot of sunshine. Highs will be in the upper 70s on Saturday and the low 80s on Sunday! However, the warmth does not last. Early October average highs are in the upper 60s to around 70°. Over the weekend, though, we'll be closer to 80°. A couple cold fronts line up back-to-back and pass through from Sunday - Monday. The colder air behind these fronts means Monday and Tuesday will have high temps only in the mid-to-upper 60s.
