Former President Trump’s campaign finance team collected $160 million in donations for the month of September. Ninety-six percent of the contributions made were under $200, according to Trump's website.  One of his senior advisers said the financial support will help the GOP leader continue to “inspire” Americans and “fuel” future campaign efforts. “President Trump continues to inspire millions of everyday Americans to join his America First movement and help fuel the campaign with their hard-earned money. In September, nearly 2.5 million donations under $200 were made,” said Brian Hughes, who serves as a senior campaign staffer. “These supporters have allowed us to bank the funds we need as we move into the campaign’s final weeks. Our momentum continues to grow from supporters and donors across the country as we enter the homestretch toward victory,” he later added. Trump is working to rake in money at private events with five weeks left before the general election. The former president visited Midland, Texas, today for a reception that charged $50,000 for a photo, while some attendees paid more than $900,000 for a seat that included a photo op and a "Trump 47" chair, according to the invitation.  Trump’s numbers pale in comparison to those of his opponent Vice President Harris, who raised more than $361 million in August. Her campaign has not yet released September fundraising numbers.
