ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - The sun has returned to Rochester's skies. Clear skies will persist on throughout the overnight hours, allowing for our temperatures to dip into the upper 40s for lows. 8-Day Forecast The cold air mass behind the front will quickly retreat north and be replaced by high pressure that brings some more warmth with it. Temperatures bump back into the lower 70s by Thursday afternoon. Friday should be great as well, although the one wrinkle is a weak front that approaches Friday night. The trend has been to keep this boundary from bringing anything other than clouds, but a very isolated shower could be possible late into early Saturday morning. After an isolated shower or two, skies quickly clear out for another beautiful day in Rochester. The sun will shine throughout most of the two weekend days. Temperatures stay on the cooler side for Saturday, only reaching the mid 60s for highs. However, for Sunday, temperatures will climb back up into the mid 70s for highs ahead of a cold front. We are dry throughout most of the day on Sunday. Heading into the evening hours, as the front moves through, downpours can be expected throughout much of the region. Now that it's Wednesday, we are getting a good idea as to how the weekend's weather is trending. Saturday will be the better of the two days, although cooler (40s to 60s). Scattered showers will linger around for Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures for Monday will remain in the low 60s and may not even break out of the upper 50s for Tuesday. Rain chances seem to subside mid-week, but temperatures are expected to stay on the cooler side. Highs for Wednesday and Thursday will remain in the low 60s. It seems that fall-like temperatures will finally arrive in Rochester!
