RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) --Four-time Tony award-winning, MJ The Musical is coming to the Altria Theater this winter and tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday. (Courtesy of: Broadway Richmond) MJ The Musical will be in Richmond at the Altria Theater from Jan. 28 through Feb. 2, 2025. The hit musical honors one of the greatest entertainers of all time -- the legendary, Michael Jackson. Starting Friday, Oct. 4 at 10 a.m., tickets will go on sale to the general public. The Richmond premiere of MJ will feature eight performances. According to Broadway Richmond, the musical will offer a rare look at the signature sound, singular moves, creative mind and collaborative spirit of Michael Jackson. The musical is centered around Michael Jackson's 1992 Dangerous World Tour. Jamaal Fields-Green will star in the role of Michael Jackson "MJ." He is the first and only person to play the lead role in all three of the global production of the musical.
