NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — A New Bedford man started off his October off on the right foot. The Massachusetts State Lottery announced that Bacilio Gomez recently won the top prize in the state's "JAWS" instant ticket game. Gomez bought the winning ticket at the M&M Convenience store on Rockdale Avenue. He is the state's fifth $1 million prize winner in the instant ticket game, which began back in March. RELATED: Mass. Gomez plans to use the money to buy a new house. M&M Convenience will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
