OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A metro mother is recovering after she said her neighbor's dogs attacked her. Melina Bush said she was heading to her daughter's house in late September, when she was suddenly surrounded by a pack of dogs. "I'm just like, 'please help me, please help me. Ya'll come get yall's dogs,'" said Bush. "I started running backwards and I swung a metal cup at them and that's when they started to attack me. It was like five or six of them pit bulls." Bush said it felt like forever had passed before the dog's owner was finally able to get them off of her. LOCAL NEWS: WATCH: Edmond man saves squirrel tangled in net "I just didn't have no strength. So I started blocking my face so that way they would not attack my face," said Bush. "I was shocked, scared." Besides the cuts and bite marks, Bush "had broken her wrist whilst fighting the dogs off her." "I have multiple bite wounds on my legs, the bottom of my feet and all on my thighs," said Bush. "I'm still in a state of shock. I'm mentally disturbed." We went to the home where Bush said the dogs lived but did not get an answer. Bush said she wants the dogs to be removed from the home, hopefully saving someone else from being attacked. "Them dogs, they really do need to be picked up," said Bush. "Don't have your kids out playing around and these dogs are out because they are vicious." The Oklahoma City Police Department told News 4 to talk to Animal Welfare about why the dogs were not picked up. The Animal Welfare told News 4 there were five dogs involved and they haven't been able to locate the dogs. The owner told their officers the dogs were taken to another state and euthanized.
