Police chase ends in Bartlett crash; suspects captured, MPD says

BARTLETT, Tenn. — A police chase from the Wolfchase area ended Wednesday afternoon after a pursuit and three-vehicle crash near Highway 70 and Memphis-Arlington Road, police said.
Memphis Police said officers responded at 2:15 to a business robbery at a gas station and convenience store on Appling Road.
The suspect's vehicle, a gold Mitsubishi Mirage, was spotted at Highway 64 and Germantown Road. Officers began a pursuit after the vehicle refused to stop.
After crashing near Summer Avenue and Memphis-Arlington Road, a man and woman got away by foot, but were taken into custody with the help of Bartlett police, MPD said.

MPD said the suspect fired a shot at the robbery scene, but no injuries were reported. MPD officers did not fire at the suspect, police said.
