(WFRV) - A Wisconsin man charged with sexual assault of a child was found in North Carolina with the girl he is accused of sexually assaulted after he no-showed a court appearance. According to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, 19-year-old Colin O'Brion was charged back in August with repeated sexual assault of the same child. He was reportedly given a $2,500 cash bond and ordered to have no contact with the victim. Authorities say he was scheduled to be back in court on September 27. However, O'Brion reportedly did not appear in court and had a nationwide extraditable warrant issued for his arrest. Through an investigation, it was learned that O'Brion had fled Wisconsin. On October 1, O'Brion was reportedly found in North Carolina with the girl he was not supposed to have contact with. Police say that O'Brion is in custody awaiting court proceedings on the Columbia County warrant. Efforts are reportedly underway to reunite the girl with her family in Wisconsin.
