EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso's Animal Services Department is inviting the community to visit the newly improved Mission Valley Adoption Center near Socorro, the City said in a press release on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
The City says the center recently underwent facility "enhancements and repairs made in an effort to improve animal housing and enrichment areas, as well as upgrades to the public areas to make the center more welcoming for adopters and volunteers."
The center is open from 12 p.m. through 5 p.m. seven days a week and the City has provided a list of improvements the center underwent. Those are the following:
Replacement of dog kennels
Exterior and interior facility upgrades including new paint, resealing of floors, and new doors
Repairs to the visitor parking lot
Renovation of the restrooms
Addition of artificial grass and shade to dog play yard
"These enhancements were made thanks to the coordination with other City Departments such as Streets and Maintenance, and with the help of donations from community partners," the City said.
