Southern University baseball fall practice, scrimmage schedule released

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Southern University baseball is expected to start practicing on Thursday, Oct. 3.
According to Southern University Athletics, the full-team workout will be the first of the year for 2024-2025 roster. The Jaguars will practice as a unit on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 3:15 p.m. at Lee-Hines Stadium. Individual practice has been in effect since the second week of the semester.
Visitors can watch as the Jaguars practice as admission is free. Gates will open at around 2:30 p.m. each day.
Dates and times of all practices and scrimmages for the week will be posted every Monday and can be found on the university's baseball social media accounts.
The Jaguars are led by Head Coach Chris Crenshaw. After the 2024 season, the Jaguars finished with an overall record of 22-29.
