Survey says… Nature Game Day is back at Penitentiary Glen Reservation from noon to 4 pm on Oct. 6. The public is invited to come for game-filled nature fun as they put their mental and physical muscles to the test, according to a news release. The free event will feature everything from trivia to physical challenges. Visitors can enjoy a special preview of the new Nature Trivia Night program along with many other challenges, some for prizes. “Our nature games might challenge you, but at the same time you’ll have a lot of fun,” Lake Metroparks Interpretive Naturalist Tony Gazso stated in the release. “We’re confident that you’ll learn something new about the natural world.” In addition to nature discovery through games and trivia, miniature steam train rides will be offered courtesy of the Lake Shore Live Steamers from 1 to 3 p.m. Trains are weather dependent and do not run for safety reasons in inclement weather or poor weather-related conditions, the release stated. Nature Game Day is free for all ages and registration is not required. Additional information can be found at goto.lakemetroparks.com/nature-game-day. Penitentiary Glen Reservation is located at 8668 Kirtland-Chardon Road in Kirtland.
