ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Coach Sean McDermott held a news conference Wednesday addressing the suspension of Bills linebacker Von Miller. McDermott acknowledges the decision as "unfortunate." He says he cannot offer more details on Miller's suspension, but adds now is the time to move forward. "We respect the decision made by the League and really it's out of our control, but this is an opportunity for someone on our football team to step up," McDermott said. Miller was suspended for four games after the NFL said he violated its personal conduct policy. It has not been announced what Miller was suspended for. This means Miller will miss the Bills' next game against the Texans (October 6), the Jets (October 14), the Tennessee Titans (October 20), and the Seattle Seahawks (October 27). He will be eligible for reinstatement after the Seahawks game. According to the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy, everyone who is a part of the league must refrain from "conduct detrimental to the integrity of and public confidence in" the NFL. It has been almost a year since Miller turned himself in for allegedly assaulting his pregnant girlfriend. His girlfriend has recanted those allegations, calling it "actually outrageous." It's not clear if the charge is connected to his suspension. Outside of Miller, McDermott says Taylor Rapp remains in concussion protocol and Tyrel Bernard and Taron Johnson are limited. Furthermore, in the injury update, Dion Dawkins and Austin Johnson will not practice. McDermott says the Bills have their work cut out for them ahead of their Texans match-up. They faced a huge loss in their previous game against the Ravens, with that game ending in a 35-10 score. The Bills will be facing the Texans on Sunday, October 6 at 1 p.m. You can find out how you can catch the game by clicking here. FULL news conference: McDermott on Miller, Diggs, injuries
