Denver officers are investigating an early-morning Wednesday shooting in the city’s Montbello neighborhood that left one man dead as a homicide, police said.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 4300 block of North Peoria Street — near Interstate 70 — early Wednesday morning, according to a 12:59 a.m. post on X from the Denver Police Department.
Paramedics took one unidentified man to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said in a 10:26 a.m. update.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide, but police have not identified a suspect yet.
