Lancaster County Sheriff's Cruiser (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)Jacob Peterson (Courtesy of Lancaster County Corrections) LINCOLN–(KFOR Oct. 2)–Deputies arrested a suspect in a string of burglaries and thefts from the past week or so in southeastern Lancaster County. Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says there were six burglaries reported at outbuildings and garages, with two thefts, totaling $38,000. Items stolen include riding lawn mowers, tools, ladders and high-dollar lawn furniture. Houchin says investigators developed 29-year-old Jacob Peterson of Lincoln as a suspect. A search warrant was served Monday at a southeast Lincoln storage unit rented by Peterson. Deputies recovered over $27,000 worth of items. Peterson was arrested for burglary. The investigation continues and additional charges could be filed against him.
