CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Charlotte Hornets Foundation has committed $1M to aid the American Red Cross and Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina in providing critical necessities to those impacted by Hurricane Helene. The funds will be distributed to the organizations to address the most basic, immediate needs. Pilot flying supply, rescue missions in western North Carolina ordered out under arrest threat Hurricane Helene left millions across the Carolinas without power, internet and access to food and water. Additionally, the David & Nicole Tepper Foundation also committed to a $3M donation to support relief efforts.
