HOLMEN, Wis. (WFRV) - A police department in western Wisconsin announced that a man was arrested in a major drug bust that revealed two pounds of methamphetamine in his vehicle. The Holmen Police Department posted on Facebook footage of the traffic stop that led to the arrest of 44-year-old Christopher Martinez. The stop, which was the result of a long-term investigation, was performed around 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 25, as officers located two pounds of packaged meth in the vehicle. Chicago man found with 3+ pounds of meth during Fond du Lac County traffic stop on I-41 A search warrant was conducted at a residence linked to Martinez in the town of Onalaska at around 2 a.m. The search revealed further evidence concerning their investigation. Holmen Police Department Martinez was booked at the La Crosse County Jail on the following charges: Possession with Intent - Methamphetamine (>50 grams) Possession with intent to deliver on/near school Maintain drug trafficking place Possession of drug paraphernalia Possession of THC Man in northern Wisconsin dead after being ejected during motorcycle crash Martinez was released on a $20,000 signature bond on Sept. 27 before a La Crosse County Circuit Court Judge. He has a court date set for Oct. 11 at 10:45 a.m. No more details were provided.
