FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - During a traffic stop on I-41 in northeastern Wisconsin Tuesday evening, a man from Chicago was found to have over three pounds of methamphetamine. Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office, a Sheriff’s Office K9 handler was patrolling I-41 and pulled a vehicle over for a registration violation around 6:25 p.m. on October 1. Deputies say the vehicle was heading north near Lost Arrow Road. During the stop, the K9 gave an open-air sniff of the vehicle and responded with a positive alert. The vehicle, which was being driven by a 34-year-old man from Chicago, was subsequently searched. Death investigation begins after subject in Wisconsin crashes into tree while fleeing police The search yielded roughly 3.1 pounds (1,408 grams) of methamphetamine. The 34-year-old was arrested and taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail on a charge of Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Deliver Amphetamine (>50 grams).
