Fairfield Co., S.C. (WOLO)–Deputies in Fairfield County are investigating a case of animal cruelty. Investigators say a good Samaritan found an emaciated dog stuffed inside a dog food bag near Drawdy park on 8th St. Officials say they took the dog to a vet but it did not survive. According to deputies the female pitbull had a wound on her neck where her collar had been embedded in her skin. Three local animal welfare organizations have raised $1,500 for a reward.
