  RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland One School District is teaming up with Prisma Health to fight the flu in the community, according to a press release. Beginning on Oct. 3, Prisma Health will hold a series of flu shot clinics at different sites throughout the Midlands, which includes Richland One school locations. Officials say free flu shots will be administered on a first-come, first-served basis to anyone six months and older. The October 5 flu shot clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lower Richland High School (2615 Lower Richland Boulevard, Hopkins, S.C.). The October 19 flu shot clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dreher High School (3319 Millwood Avenue, Columbia, S.C.). All of the flu shot clinics will be drive-through clinics, except the ones that will be held at the Prisma Health Baptist campus. Consent forms are required and will be available at each site; children under 16 must have a consent form signed by a parent/guardian. A valid driver’s license or another photo ID is required to receive a flu shot.
