CMPD Searching For Subject Involved In East Charlotte Murder | CASH REWARD

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is searching for a suspect in connection with a murder investigation in east Charlotte.
On Thursday, September 26th, officers conducted a welfare check on Eastcrest Drive near Central Avenue. Upon arrival, officers say they discovered a victim with a gunshot wound.
Medic pronounced the victim, identified as 25-year-old Khyre Grier, dead at the scene.
As the investigation continued, police obtained warrants for 49-year-old Fabio Funes in connection with Grier’s murder. Following and interview with detectives, Funes was taken into custody and charged with murder.
Officers received additional information regarding another suspect involved in the case, 34 year old Ramon Funes. Funes is wanted in connection with the murder of Khyre Grier.
Detectives are actively searching for Funes and are asking anyone in the public who knows his whereabouts to call VCAT Detectives immediately at 704-336-VCAT (8228)

Funes should be considered armed and dangerous.
The Crime Stoppers program will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
