BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 17-year-old is in critical condition after he was hit by a garbage truck on Rhode Island Street near 14th Street on Wednesday morning, according to Buffalo police. The teen was hit just before 8:20 a.m. when the truck backed up and hit the teen. The teen was taken to Oishei Children's Hospital to be treated for injuries. The incident is still under investigation.
