BRPD: Person of interest connected to death of Baton Rouge man arrested in Texas

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- A person of interest wanted in connection to the death of a Baton Rouge man was arrested in Texas.
The Baton Rouge Police Department confirmed that Terryon Ishmael Thomas, 20, of Newellton, was arrested in Dallas, Texas. Jail records show he was booked on Oct. 1. BRPD said he was arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s North Texas Fugitive Task Force.
Thomas was wanted on charges of aggravated criminal damage to property, resisting an officer and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The body of William Nicholas Abraham, 69, was found in a tarp along a highway in Tangipahoa Parish on Sunday, Sept. 29.
BRPD said that Thomas is in jail in Texas and will be extradited to Baton Rouge at some point.
