BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A Posey man is dead following a solo-vehicle crash on Granite Road near Glenville, Tuesday afternoon. The crash happened at 3 p.m. on Granite Road, just south of highway 155, on Oct. 1., according to the California Highway Patrol. Man dies in SW Bakersfield officer-involved shooting after alleged home invasion Investigators said the Posey man behind the wheel of a Ford, was traveling northbound on Granite Road when he veered off the road due to an unknown medical condition. The Ford crashed through a barbed wire fence, and came to rest in a dirt and grass field. Kern County Fire Department found the driver unresponsive in the driver's seat and pronounced the 52-year-old man dead at the scene. Officials are asking any witnesses in the area with information about the collision to call CHP Public Information Officer, Officer Jorge Toro at 661-396-6600.
