44-Year-Old Yokuts Valley Man Killed in Single-Car Crash near Fulgham Lane YOKUTS VALLEY, CA (October 2, 2023) – One person was killed and Alex Alejo was injured Saturday night, in a solo-vehicle collision on Elwood Road. First responders arrived to the intersection of Eldwood Road and Fulgham Lane area shortly before 8:00 p.m. Investigators stated that Salazar, behind the wheel of a 1997 Buick Century, was stopped facing westbound on FM 2053. Meanwhile, Lucio was driving a 2015 Mack truck tractor northeast on the freeway, approaching FM 2053. As Salazar entered the intersection, Lucio swerved in an attempt to avoid the collision, but the two vehicles collided. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, 72-year-old Salazar, a resident of O’Donnell, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene. Lucio, 63, was unharmed in the crash. Both drivers were confirmed to have been wearing seat belts. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing as authorities work to uncover further details.
