Per a Spurs press release: The San Antonio Spurs today announced a new partnership with Taco Palenque, making it the team’s official fresh Mex restaurant. Announced on National Taco Day, the partnership will come to life this upcoming Spurs season with a special commemorative Spurs Coyote keepsake cup launching in select Taco Palenque restaurants in the area, in-arena displays and various promotional offers at Spurs games. A new in-game promotion, “Tic Tac Taco” will also afford fans the chance to win free Taco Palenque gift cards and swag. Stated Juan Francisco “Don Pancho” Ochoa, founder of Taco Palenque, “At Taco Palenque, we take great pride in being part of Texas culture, and we are thrilled to celebrate this exciting new partnership with the San Antonio Spurs. Our Taco Palenque family is eager to connect with Spurs fans, share our love for fresh, authentic Mexican food, and create lasting memories that go far beyond game day. This is more than just a partnership—it’s a celebration of two beloved Texas traditions coming together!” Taco Palenque recently moved its headquarters from Laredo to San Antonio. There are currently seventeen restaurants throughout the San Antonio and Austin areas with plans to expand through their partnership.
