WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wichita Public Schools is working to make its website more accessible for families. USD 259's new website has translation into multiple different languages. Maria Kury, Spanish Communications Specialist for Wichita Public Schools, said students speak more than 110 languages at home, and the new website allows translation into at least 80. Kury said parents of over 7,700 students have chosen Spanish as their preferred language or the language they speak at home. Boil water advisory issued in three Kansas counties This highlights the need for families to be in touch with what is happening in the classroom. "To make sure that their families have access to the right information, the right tools and resources to support them on their pathway to success," Kury said. This design also allows the district to go behind the scenes and fix automated translations to make them more clear. Click here to visit USD 259's new website.
