SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV)—The Libertarian Party of Savannah said on Tuesday that the Libertarian Party Presidential nominee will be making a campaign stop to a Savannah Waffle House Friday.  Chase Oliver, who resides in Atlanta, will stop in Savannah on Friday as part of his month-long tour of Georgia. The Libertarian Party of Savannah said that Oliver is a huge fan of Waffle House,and has enjoyed visiting many of them along the campaign trail. Oliver is set to visit the Waffle House at 7301 Abercorn St. on Friday, Oct. 4at 6:00 p.m.  He will make a short speech, followed by meeting with voters to answer questions and listen to concerns, according to the party. Savannah leaders give first post-Helene update Rolling Stone has dubbed Oliver "The most influential Libertarian in the U.S."  Oliver also made history as the first Libertarian Presidential nominee to campaign in all 50 states. Oliver's campaign website said that he gained international notoriety in 2022 for causing the run-off between Herschel Walker and Raphael Warnock. Oliver used the opportunity to push for ranked-choice voting, a system in which costly run-offs are made unnecessary, as voters' second and third choices are already tabulated, according to the party's release. The website also said that Rolling Stone has dubbed Oliver "The most influential Libertarian in the U.S."   Oliver has secured a place on the ballot in 47 states, including every significant swing state, the Rolling Stone reported. According to his website and their press release, Oliver's platform includes: Immigration solutions through real reform Lowering healthcare costs by allowing the free market to fully function Lowering inflation through approving only a balanced budget Lowering taxes by finding and eliminating wasteful spending Defending the 2nd Amendment.
