PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - According to downdetector.com, users of the Workday platform reported an outage Tuesday. Some users said the site would not load at all for them. Others said they were receiving a page that states "an error occurred." This image from downdetector.com shows thousands of outage reports around 1:30 p.m. ET Tuesday. By 6 p.m. Tuesday, the number of reports dropped significantly. A Workday spokesperson said "we let impacted customers know that service was restored by [5 p.m.]. We sincerely apologize for today's interruption." WAVY-TV 10 uses Workday and employees were unable to access the platform despite several attempts. According to its website, Workday is used by businesses for finance, HR and IT solutions. Around 4:30 p.m., some WAVY users were able to get the site to load, but others were still experiencing issues.
