Florida International University continues to welcome students this fall as undergraduate and graduate programs continue to grow. FIU’s degree-seeking students, who don’t include dual enrollment or non-degree-seeking students, said Madeline Baró, senior director of media relations, via email, as of Oct. 1 totaled “48,624 students enrolled; we are ahead of our enrollment from last year.” Additionally, the university’s First Time in College (FTIC) applications have increased. Ms. Baró said FIU’s FTIC applications for summer 2024, fall 2024 and spring 2025 increased 29.8% from the year prior. The undergraduate programs that have increased enrollment this fall, said Ms. Baró, are “computer science (BA and BS), biology (BA), finance, cybersecurity, accounting, and sports and exercise (BS).” Some graduate programs have also had increases. “Graduate programs that have seen an increase in enrollment,” Ms. Baró wrote, “are special education, law, nursing, psychology, accounting, and early childhood education.” Related Posts:Florida International University sees more fall…Florida International University’s fall class is its largestFlorida International University applications near…Seeking foreign students, Florida International…Miami Dade College tracking ahead in student headcountThe post Florida International University enrollment gains appeared first on Miami Today.
