Stephen Curry, Warriors open training camp in Laie

Four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors opened training camp at BYU-Hawaii in Laie on Tuesday.
Curry electrified the basketball world back in August when he scored 12 points in the fourth quarter against France in the gold medal game of the Paris Olympics, lifting the USA to a Gold Medal.

Curry is back with the Warriors, who are undergoing a transition in the 2024-2025 season. His backcourt mate Klay Thompson, who has been with Golden State since 2011, signed a free agent deal with the Dallas Mavericks.

Despite Thompson's departure, the Warriors still have organizational mainstays in Curry, forward Draymond Green and coach Steve Kerr.
The Los Angeles Clippers are also opening training camp in Hawaii, primarily practicing at the University of Hawaii.

The Clippers and Warriors will play a preseason exhibition game on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center. Tickets for the game are sold out.
