(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Museum (USOPM) is introducing Starting Line Saturdays, a new event series that features meet-and-greets with athletes, museum-wide trivia challenges, and exclusive artifact demonstrations. On the first Saturday of each month, guests will be able to enjoy Starting Line Saturdays, in addition to a brand-new hour-long series where members of the Olympic and Paralympic community will share insights into their roles supporting Team USA's journey. “We are incredibly excited to launch Starting Line Saturdays,” said Marisa Wigglesworth, CEO of USOPM. “This program offers guests a chance to engage with Team USA in ways that go beyond the competition. Whether it's meeting athletes like Tyler Carter or hearing from the dedicated teams that help them succeed, Starting Line Saturdays brings the Olympic and Paralympic journey to life in a fresh, interactive way.” The upcoming dates include: Oct. 5: Tyler Carter, Paralympic alpine skier, and Manager of Classification at USOPM. Nov. 2: Bernard Sandoval, local artist, business owner, and co-chair of Olympic City USA task force. Dec. 7: Bill Zadick, 2024 U.S. Olympic Men's Freestyle Head Coach On Saturday, Oct. 5, Tyler Carter will share his Paralympic journey at USOPM from noon to 1 p.m. In addition, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Carter will share insights into the unique system that ensures fair competition for athletes across Paralympic sports a the Chapman Event Space. Throughout the day, guests can also enjoy trivia, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., USOPM will show items from past Olympic and Paralympic games. All Starting Line Saturday activities are included with museum admission, tickets are available at usopm.org.
