MINOT, ND (KXNET) — On Tuesday, October 1, the Minot Area Chamber EDC was hosting its first annual workforce summit — where experts took time out of their days to speak with people in the fields of workforce development, childcare, and more. The event was a chance to bring employers, together, learning about the resources they have in the state.. regarding workforce challenges. It also showcases opportunities for experts in their field to connect with employers. 2024 North Dakota Voter Guide published Keli Rosselli-Sullivan with the Chamber says Minot was the perfect spot to hold the summit. "We've been having a few of these around the state," she explains, "and Minot would be a good area to showcase because our unemployment rate is so low right now. Our employers may not necessarily know what is available to them to help with attracting and retaining workforce in our community."
