BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Southern head coach Terrence Graves said his team did a "self-scouting report" over the bye week. Graves mentioned how much the offensive line has grown over the past five weeks. Through the first three games, the offensive line was the Achilles heel of the Jaguar's offense. But in week four against Prairie View A&M University, they put on display how much potential this unit truly has, leading the way for 191 rushing yards and only allowing two sacks. "We have basically a new offensive line and so it's going to take a while to gel, and like I say, it's crock pot, not microwaved, and those guys did a great job, especially running the ball. When we ran the ball, you can see those guys knocking guys off the ball," said Graves. Southern University vs. Nicholls State: Game time Southern's offensive line is going to have its hands full on Saturday as they take on a stingy Nicholls State University defense that only allows 78 rushing yards per game, ranking them fourth in the FCS.
