WEBSTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Congratulations to Rebecca Cincebox, our latest Golden Apple Award winner. She teacher UPK at Dewitt Road Elementary in Webster. Mark Schichtel, the school Principal says, "She just loves children. She loves people and she loves life and that's the passion that exudes her throughout her day here at the school." Briana Bosworth and her kids nominated Mrs. Cincebox for a Golden Apple Award. Her oldest son had her for a teacher and they were thrilled to find out their youngest would be in her class this year. Bosworth says, "we screamed.  I was joking that this reaction might be similar to if they got in their choice college or something." Her daughter Evelyn didn't have Mrs. Cincebox for a teacher but can tell she is great just from seeing her at school. "Whenever I see her and her kids out on the playground, they always look like they are having so much fun and she's making learning fun for them," she says.    Bosworth adds, "Mrs. Cincebox is amazing.  She is probably the most hands on, involved, engaged teacher I have ever met. For the cohort she works with her patience is unmatched." Mrs. Cincebox has been teaching pre-k for 10 years and taught another 6 years before that. She loves seeing kids experience school for the first time.  "Everything is magical and new, so I love the ah hah, first moments.  They come in eager, anxious, excited to learn, their energy is contagious.  The joy they pour into us every day and we pour into them is like looking in a mirror which you can't find in too many jobs, so I feel very blessed to be here with them every day," she says. It's clear she loves her job and the team she works with. "I love children.  Raising my own 4 children was a dream and now impacting these beautiful little lives every day is something that you really see the difference you're making," says Cincebox. As for the magical hugs.....she says, "I am a hugger that is just who I am and these kids need love at this age at every age kids need love- but the hugs are contagious."
