Clouds have been slowly increasing from the west ahead of an approaching cold front. That front won't get hear until early Wednesday morning, so rain showers will hold off until the wee hours of the morning. Drier air will quickly punch in behind the front, so not only will the rain be brief, the clouds will quickly erode into late morning. We'll enjoy sunshine for the remainder of the day with highs remaining in the middle 60s. For cooler weather fans, we have a trio of cold fronts we'll contend with over the next week. While each of them will drive some relatively cooler air (if only temporarily) into the region, it's the late Sunday front that could have the most chilly bite. That's definitely cooler, but nothing more than average for early October and without risk of frost. Sunshine and temperatures into the 70s return Thursday and Friday looks warm too. A second cold front late Friday won't have much bite, both in terms of rain and cooler air. Overall, our weekend looks great. Eyes turn to cold front #3 later Sunday. That's the one that appears to be the most impressive. Downpours Sunday night precede much cooler air into early next week. If you're a fall weather fan, that's the one you're waiting on.
