FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Jobita Camacho, a candidate for Selma City Council has been arraigned in a Fresno County Court Room on charges of allegedly filing a false declaration of candidacy and perjury. During Camacho’s court appearance, she plead "not guilty". DA: Selma City Council candidate charged for false declaration of candidacy According to the District’s Attorney, it is alleged that on July 25, Camacho submitted paperwork to run for the District 4 Council Seat on the Selma City Council, when she lives in District 2. She did so under penalty of perjury. If convicted, the DA’s office says Camacho faces a maximum of four years in state prison.
