Take part in debate bingo and discounted drinks at these venues on Tuesday, October 1 The only scheduled vice presidential debate between Minnesota governor Tim Walz, a former teacher and football coach, and Ohio senator J.D. Vance, a lawyer and author, is set for tonight. The war of words starts at 9 p.m. from the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City, with CBS streaming and moderating the event. Like three weeks ago, when politicos across the D.C. area watched the heated presidential debate, there are plenty of bar and restaurant watch parties taking place. Here’s a list of more debate-themed discounts around the nation’s capital.

The deal: This Adams Morgan spot will be projecting the live debate on a 150-foot projection screen and serving $3 tacos for Taco Tuesday alongside $10 drink specials all night. The deal: The debate will be playing on the many TVs on the two levels of Shaw’s, with a special debate menu available as well as Taco Tuesday deals. Grab a plate of three tacos for $12 and sip on a $10 margarita while you watch. Tables are by reservation only and bar seating is first come, first served.

The deal: Take part in prize-filled debate bingo and chow down on $8 smash burgers at this Dupont Circle club. Red, white, and blue jello shots are $5, bottles of wine are half off, and the usual taco Tuesday specials of discounted tacos, nachos, Coronas, and margaritas are also being offered during the debate.

The deal: The big screens at all the Busboys and Posts locations will be broadcasting the debate. There will be drink specials all night long, including Tuesday’s usual $5 all-night draft deal.

The deal: Capitol Hill’s “bipartisan” pub throws another epic debate watch party with all TVs on with sound. VP-themed cocktails include the $12 “Return of the Dirty Walz” (Diet MTN Dew, Tito’s, grenadine) — which first made an appearance at Union Pub during the DNC — and a “JD’s Couch Potato” dirty martini ($15). “Springfield Specials” include “They’re Eating the Dogs” — mini chicken corn dogs served in dog bowls ($13) — and “They’re Drinking the Cats” (a whiskey sour with kitty straws) for $7. A dollar from each special sold will be donated to Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. Other deals include $4 mystery shots or Union Pub Presidential Pilsner pints and buckets of beer and seltzer ($22 or $30).

The deal: Head to the heart of Dupont to watch the debate on its 15 TVs, including several at the outdoor bar. Tuesday’s meal deal features a burger, fries, and beer for $17.99, with $5.75 draft refills. Toss back election-themed shots for $6.50 a pop.

The deal: A beach-themed bar is one way to destress tonight. Catch the debate from one of its 25 TVs while soaking up specials like $6 Kona drafts, $10 frozen drinks, $6.50 themed shots (“Coach Tim vs. Mountain Dew Slamme”), $2 off sushi rolls, $10.50 slider trio. Three private rooms host watch parties for both Dems and GOPs.

The deal: The upscale hotel unleashes a “Presidential Straw Poll” offering tonight. Choose between two versions of the same drink, made with grenadine (The Red Wave) or Curacao (The Blue Wave), and discreetly submit your “vote” by marking a ballot and handing it to the bartender. The $11.24 price nods to the month and year of the election; as such, there’s also $1.25 “Presidential Inauguration” shots tonight. The cocktail — Ketel One Peach/Orange Vodka, white cranberry juice, lemon juice, simple syrup, sparkling wine — returns on October 29 and the winner will be announced on social media.
