SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Residents of a San Francisco neighborhood were told to evacuate on Tuesday after a gas leak.
The San Francisco Fire Department called the evacuations a "precaution" and said there is currently no threat to the public.

The evacuation is for residents south of Paul Avenue between Crane Street and Carr Street. SFFD and police officers went door-to-door to tell residents to evacuate or shelter in place.
The gas leak was first reported at 10:17 a.m. SFFD and PG&E have been in the area since then. PG&E is working on turning off the gas.
PG&E will hold a press conference later on Tuesday to provide updates.
