Oakland school administrator plowed down by carjacker

(KRON) – A school administrator has sustained injuries after being plowed down by a carjacker who attempted to steal her car, according to the Oakland Police Department.
The carjacking occurred at Laurel Elementary School in the 3700 block of California Street on Monday. Around 1:45 p.m., OPD responded to the scene and located the injured victim.
During the preliminary investigation, officers learned that one of the school’s administrators walked to the car and when she noticed a person inside. The victim stood in front of the car to ensure the carjacker could not leave. The carjacker then drove into the victim causing her to be underneath the vehicle.

After the attack, the suspect fled to an awaiting vehicle with another driver.
The administrator was taken to a local hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.
