TOPEKA (KSNT) - Topeka police are asking the community for information following a recent shooting incident on Monday. Rosie Nichols with the City of Topeka said in a press release that officers were called just before 6 p.m. on Sept. 30 to the area of Southwest Seventh Street and Taylor Street. Police were told initially that gunshots were heard in the area. TPD arriving at the area learned two people were hurt and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Both reportedly had life-threatening wounds. Topeka police complete nearly 400 ‘knock-and-talks’ alongside state partners Nichols said police are investigating the situation and are asking for anyone with information connected to the incident to make a report to police.
