Syracuse, N.Y. -- A collection of community groups say they want Micron Technology Inc. to make a firm commitment to hiring local residents, especially those from disadvantaged neighborhoods, for a portion of the jobs created by its planned semiconductor plant in the Syracuse suburb of Clay.
