Both the Chesterfield County Police Department and Chesterfield County Fire and EMS shared warnings to drivers on Tuesday, Oct. 1, regarding hazardous conditions on roads across the county.
"If you [approach] a road that is covered with water and the road is not visible, TURN AROUND," the police department wrote. "Do not attempt to drive through the water. Water can rise rapidly and less than 1 foot of water can sweep a stopped vehicle off the road."
