INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a new round of lane restrictions that are set to affect motorists who plan to travel on I-465 northbound and southbound near Park Fletcher and I-65 northbound near Beech Grove starting Friday night. According to an INDOT release, crews will restrict I-465 SB to three lanes between U.S. 40 and Sam Jones Expressway from 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4 until Oct. 14 at 6 a.m. Crews will shut down the following ramps during this time: U.S. 136 to I-465 southbound  10th St. to I-465 southbound  U.S. 36 to I-465 southbound  U.S. 40 to I-465 southbound  INDOT added that the Sam Jones Expressway will remain open while this work is completed. Additional work will be done on I-465 NB starting Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. and lasting until Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 6 a.m. INDOT crews will also restrict I-465 NB to two lanes between I-70 and U.S. 40 while S.R. 67 to I-465 NB, Sam Jones Expressway to I-465 NB and U.S. 40 to I-465 NB will be closed. These restrictions will enable crews to complete pavement restoration with bridge deck patching and joint repairs also taking place. I-65 NB restrictions Starting Sunday, Oct. 6 at 9 p.m., traffic on I-65 NB will be restricted to a single lane between I-465 and Keystone Avenue. INDOT announced that this restriction is planned so one of its contractors, Ram Construction Co., can complete a bridge deck overlay on I-65 near Carson Square. Starting on Friday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m., the eastbound lanes of I-465 will be closed to the I-65 NB ramp until Monday, Oct. 7 at 6 a.m. Motorists are advised to check 511.org for the latest updates.
