FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)— According to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), the ongoing concrete repairs on I-69 around Fort Wayne will last until the end of construction season in 2025. Hunter Petroviak, the public relations director for INDOT's northeast district, said that the project is taking longer than the original plan anticipated. "The crews got in there and there needed to be some more work done than originally anticipated," Petroviak said. "But it's certainly something that we're tackling as fast as those crews possibly can." There will be a break in the construction this winter starting in November. Then it will start back up again in the spring of 2025, likely lasting the entire construction season. Petroviak also said that the construction schedule will continue to move south. Exit 302's southbound ramp is scheduled to close next week and there may be more closures to follow.
