Coroner identifies person who died after multivehicle collision in Lexington County

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died after a multi-vehicle collision, says the coroner’s office.
The collision happened at the intersection of Longview Street and Boiling Springs Road in the Lexington area at about 7:37 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1.
According to Coroner Fisher, Nita Lynn Regino, 52, of Lexington was traveling northbound on Longview Street when she attempted to turn westbound onto Boiling Springs Road, and was hit by a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Boiling Springs Road.
Regino was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries sustained during the collision.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol are continuing to investigate the collision.
