Community invited to support breast cancer awareness with Links for Life

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The community is invited to join Links for Life as they kick off breast cancer awareness month and celebrates with a series of events.
The organization's “Paint the Town Pink!” campaign will feature various awareness events throughout October. This years Links for Life has partnered with Carniceria La Carreta for the "Giving Cancer the Boot" initiative.

Additionally, the Comprehensive Blood & Cancer Center (CBCC) will offer reduced-rate 3D screening mammograms throughout the month. To schedule an appointment, call 661-616-1643.
The first event will be the Links for Life Survivor Group on Oct. 01, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. for all breast cancer survivors.

On Oct. 3, 2024, the VIPink event will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the AIS Cancer Center, located at 2620 Chester Ave.
